Denver Gourmet Tours FAQs

Everything you need to know……

How are the tours structured? Each tour meets at a central location and we go on a delicious culinary journey together.

When you say it is a tasting tour, how much food are we talking about? We will indulge in sampling a different artisanal purveyors’ goodies at every stop. You won’t leave hungry, but you may want to consider eating a light lunch before hand.

Can I bring my kiddo? Denver Gourmet Tours is an upscale experience designed for adults. Kids get bored and the activities aren’t really designed for them. We will plan some kid-friendly tours in the future. Sign up for The Dish to be the first to hear about them.

What should I wear? Something casual that you will be comfortable walking around in. Jeans or shorts are fine, with comfortable walking shoes.

Will I have a chance to buy stuff on the tours? Certainly. You will be tasting amazing things that you may want to take home to share with your friends and family. Each tour stop is planned to give you a few minutes to shop and most places will extend a discount. Plus, you’ll leave with contact information from each stop so you can return later or visit their website.

How much walking is involved? Our walking tours involve some easy to intermediate walking, covering 1 -2 miles, with several stops where seating is available. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Also, kindly remember that Denver is a mile high and exercise counts more up here because your lungs get more of a workout.

Do I need to bring anything? Just an appetite for discovery. You are welcome to bring a camera, but other than that, everything is taken care of for you.

I am vegetarian, lactose-intolerant, allergic to wheat, etc. Will there be anything for me to enjoy? We aim to please. When you make your reservation, please let us know about your special dietary considerations and we will make sure that you are accommodated.

My friend would love this. Do you have gift certificates? Sure, gift certificates are available in any amount and can be redeemed for any of our tours, dinners, events or classes. Check out the gift certificate page for more information.

I bought a ticket, but can’t attend. Can I get a refund? Because a lot of people spend a lot of time getting ready for our tour, our tour tickets are non-refundable. But if for some reason you cannot attend, please pass your tickets on to a food lover of your choice.

I had a great time. Should I tip my tour guide?  We go out of our way to ensure that you have a great day, so gratuities are always appreciated, but never expected.

What if the weather is terrible and the tour has to be cancelled? Denver boasts over 300 days of sunshine and we have very few days of truly inclement weather. When you make your reservation,, we ask for a phone number and email address where we can reach you. If a tour is cancelled for any reason, we will get in touch to let you know and do our best to accommodate you, either by rescheduling your tour or refunding your tickets.

If you have any other questions, concerns or if there is anything else you are wondering about, please feel free to email: Kandi@DenverGourmetEats.com, or call: 720-722-2350, and we’ll be happy to help you.
